We made a generous, beautiful four-course meal and ate it with their own wines while hearing about the family’s history. Cooking it in the wood-fired oven made everything taste even better. Elena and Pietro were patient, warm, and kind, and made the class fun as well as rewarding. My family had a wonderful time at the Italian cooking class. The setting is stunning, just outside the beautiful town of Greve. I highly recommend this special experience.

It was easily the highlight of our week in Tuscany. Everything was so well organized, and Elena and her son Pietro were kind, encouraging hosts and instructors. The setting was beautiful, too. The eight of us, four couples, spent four hours on the class. We toured the winery, then made the five-course lunch ourselves and tasted Chianti Classico along the way. We prepared focaccia and bread, crostini topping, fresh pasta, pork loin, and a dessert called Nona’s cake, meaning grandmother’s cake. It all went into a wood-fired oven. We also chopped vegetables for homemade sauce that Elena had canned the previous summer with tomatoes from her garden.

The property is gorgeous, and the wine was so good. Elena and her family made the day really fun, and it was lovely to spend quality time together as a family while cooking with them. I’d been searching for a small, family-run place in the countryside where we could visit and learn to make delicious Italian food. This was everything we hoped for and more. I can’t recommend it enough!

The breakfast was phenomenal, and Elena made us feel completely at home. The cooking class with her and Pietro was the best part of our trip: so personal, with excellent food and wine. We can’t wait to try the recipes at home. This was the first stop on our honeymoon, and the property was even more incredible than the photos. It was a magical way to begin our first time in Tuscany. We can’t wait to return.
