Breakfast isn’t available, and the nearest shop and restaurant are a long way off, so come prepared. The road to the villa is often only one lane, which can be tricky if someone is coming the other way. Still, the villa has a lovely Tuscan feel.

As a musician, I found the quiet surroundings really inspiring. Staying in the home of an artist, among a wonderful collection of paintings, drawings, and books, was an honor. I’ll never forget the experience. From what I’ve read in other reviews, plenty of other people have felt how special this place is too. Thank you!

The host was friendly and knew a lot about the villa. There was no air conditioning in our room, but even with the heat outside, the temperature inside was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the view was breathtaking. The rooms and shared spaces were full of wonderful art. Such a beautiful villa, I wish we could have stayed longer!

The quiet, private setting and beautiful views across Tuscany made our time here so enjoyable. It’s about a 40 minute drive to Florence, but that shouldn’t put you off staying at this lovely spot in the heart of Tuscany. Stefano was a wonderful host, and the rooms were decorated with real artistic flair. We had a great experience and loved our stay!

Stefano made us feel so welcome, always warm, attentive and friendly. The artwork and history around Villa Gioietta kept things interesting, and the quiet, tucked-away setting gave us a real chance to get away from everyday noise. The photos really don't show how lovely it is. One of the best guest houses I've stayed in, and I can't wait to return.
