We hadn’t planned to stop here, but came in for lunch and were surprised by how welcoming everyone was. The food was incredible, made with fresh local vegetables in local dishes. We enjoyed lunch enough to return for dinner, and the friendly welcome continued. The peaceful, beautiful landscape was especially lovely at sunset. I’d recommend picking up a few bottles of their excellent olive oil. You won’t regret it!

We stopped for lunch while driving from the airport in Pisa. The welcome was warm, and not speaking Italian caused no trouble at all. It was 33C, and the kids were sleepy and grumpy until the host kindly offered them a free swim in the very inviting pool. They cheered up straight away. The food was excellent. We had locally grown zucchini with lemon and organic white wine from their vineyard. The wine was crisp and went perfectly with the meal. A lovely find, and a little taste of Tuscany.

Our room was small, but immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, too. Silvana was wonderful and went out of her way to help since we didn’t have a rental car. If you can, renting one is probably a good idea.

Great value, very clean, and well organized, with really good service. The food was excellent. I know Tuscany fairly well, and those were the best tagliatelle ai funghi I’ve ever had. Breakfast was great too, with homemade yogurt every morning. The wonderful Uccellina natural park is just ten minutes away.

Right in the middle of Maremma Natural Park, the setting is splendid. There’s a swimming pool, lovely landscape, and nice breakfast and dinner, with dinner optional. Recommended.
