Viola Mhotel

Everything was clean, and housekeeping did a great job. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, and we had no problems during our stay. Breakfast was okay, but I still wonder why there were no olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, or salad. The room could use a night light and a quilt.

I came back in May 2024 after first staying here by chance in 2019. Back then, an overbooking issue got me assigned a superior room, and that's the only reason I returned. The place still felt new then. My photos here are from the Junior suite I stayed in in december 2019, on a beautiful snowy morning. My personal mystery guest score was 9.8 in 2019; now it's 7.9. The superior suite I booked for 4 days in 2024 was still superb and spacious, with a private elevator-to-the room, but it was a little worn. Part of the current staff also seemed to have no idea about customer care, and I was charged more than the prices shown on the hotel directory papers at least twice. To put this to rest, I booked and paid for 4 days in one of the three superior suites with my mate, but when I extended my stay alone, I got no discount. My credit card also wasn't accepted as enough of a warranty for a simple one-night extension. Never again. If the hotel manager reads this, please drop me a note, as I have a lot more to say.

The hotel was clean, good, and quiet, with a nice bathroom and a room that was clean and big enough. The bed was too hard for me, though, and the wardrobe wasn't good, with no drawer. Breakfast was okay, but I'd have liked more types of cheese. Parking was also okay and big enough.

The receptionist, an older lady with short curly hair, was unkind. She mistook us for another group of brown people and didn't apologize. Instead, she said we all look the same. Don't stay here if you don't want to be profiled in the middle of nowhere, with no shops or transport links. Breakfast is basic and a waste of money. The coffee is disgusting and tastes only of milk.
