I was very disappointed, especially after having such high expectations. Maybe I was unlucky, but I ended up making a terrible impression on the guests, and the evening that should have been a happy memory became a bitter disappointment. With no dancing despite the arrangements, the money felt wasted. The service moved far too quickly. The DJ played no more than five songs all evening and seemed absent. I had specifically asked for a professional DJ suitable for an 18th birthday party. We'd discussed the setlist beforehand and he assured me it wouldn't be a problem, but he played only four songs and then stopped, leaving out-of-place background music, including neomelodic songs. The dancing area was extremely limited and the guests were disengaged. There were also serious problems with drinks. Despite repeated requests, there was no alcohol available, especially prosecco. Later we were told the spirits had run out after a company lunch earlier that day. That was unacceptable for a birthday party, especially such an important occasion. When we asked for two coffees, we were told the machine was broken. The food was mostly unsatisfactory. The appetizers, from the focaccia and panzerottini to the roughly cut, carelessly plated tuna carpaccio, were a letdown. The cavatelli with mushrooms and Norcia were overcooked, and the Norcia pieces were so large they seemed more like meatloaf than a suitable condiment. The worst dish was the entrecôte, served as a thin, rolled slice of cold pan-fried meat that looked awful and was completely inedible, with a sad half-potato simply placed on the plate. The fried fish was the one good part of dinner. I suspect the company lunch before my daughter's birthday party may have affected the evening's organization.
