Top notch.

Dadotratto is both a restaurant and a B&B, in a beautiful building overlooking the main square. The renovation has been done with taste and skill. My room was spacious, elegant and quiet, with air conditioning and a splendid bathroom. The bed was the one drawback for me, too soft. There’s a functional, spotless kitchen stocked for making a hearty breakfast. The price is affordable, and I’d highly recommend it.

Dadotratto exceeded my expectations, a 10 out of 10. It’s right on the central square in a historic building that’s been beautifully renovated inside for guests. The room was spectacular, and the self-catering kitchen had everything. The price felt far too low for the quality. The only issues were occasional hot water problems in the bathroom and slightly weak shower pressure.

A local agriturismo with a menu full of distinctive dishes. The tartar tasting was delicious, and the colorful sauces looked great on the slate plate. They make several kinds, with Sagrantino sauce as their latest creation. It’s a treat to eat, and strictly hand-cut. The house starter, Antipasto del Mattonaro, comes with warm crostoni, cheeses, mixed cold cuts, warm tarts, and a pan of scamorza and pancetta. It makes a lovely meal, so people who eat ordinary portions may want to share it. I love the pizza here too, especially the carbonara or boscaiola, which also has truffles. Their takeout pizzas are great, and they’re punctual about the requested pickup time.
