I loved hearing the town's bells from my room, which looked out over the square. It was clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was generous and delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A delightful spot in the heart of Gubbio's Old City.

The main problem was the hot water schedule. Our group of 21 pilgrims had all arrived together on a cold, rainy day after walking the Way of St Francis, and everyone needed a hot shower around the same time. Outside the limited heating hours, there wasn't enough hot water for us. The bed was reasonably comfortable after a long day on foot, and The Hotel Gattapone, Gubbio is well placed in a beautiful city. It may suit smaller groups arriving at different times better.

The walls between rooms are so thin you can hear neighbors talking and making noise. The church bells rang every 15 minutes all night, though I liked that. The room itself was beautiful, breakfast decent, and the staff helpful. Perfect location.

This family-run hotel is pet friendly and has excellent facilities, with a perfect location in Gubbio. It’s only a 2 minute walk from the car park in Piazza 40 Martiri. Don Matteo fans should definitely stay here. We always return from Gubbio with some Bucchero (black pottery), it’s amazing.

The view was the most breathtaking one I've ever seen. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were caring and helpful. My stay was great, just much too short. I hope to return!
