Camping Village Internazionale Firenze

The staff were especially welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The free ride from the camping village to the bus stop was really useful, and the bus connections made getting to Florence easy. We got to enjoy the hectic city, then come back to somewhere peaceful. I was very happy with our stay. We went for a weekend in July with my partner. Our room was tiny but very clean, and the air conditioning was essential in the heat. The beds were comfortable, and I slept like a baby. The little market in the camping village restaurant could stock more, and the public washrooms need some improvement. The pool area was fairly small and seemed mostly popular with children, but it was refreshing on a scorching day.

A great location for exploring Florence. The camp runs a shuttle to the main bus stop, and from there it's just one bus into town. Tickets cost €1.50 each way and are sold at reception. The staff were really helpful and friendly. At €67 for one night for two adults, one child, a camper, and electricity, it was a bit pricey. As others have mentioned, the toilets, showers, and road could do with updating. Still, it was a good find for a night.

At €47 for two people and a tent for one night, this was the most expensive campsite we've stayed at in two months around Europe. That might have been fine if the facilities were great, but they were old, dirty, and barely worked. The receptionist was rude and seemed to enjoy making us wait for no reason. The pool also requires a swimming cap, and who brings one on holiday? Wouldn't recommend it.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the restaurant and shop had good prices. We even added another night because we were enjoying ourselves so much. The little huts had great air conditioning, which was a real relief in the hot Tuscan weather, and the surroundings were lovely. Public transport was close by too. We’d first tried another camping village near Florence’s city center, Camping in Town, but it had no rooms left and a tent pitch cost too much. I’m glad it worked out that way, because this place made our few days in Florence extra special.
