Villa Lancellotti

The pool is a wide stretch of clear water surrounded by greenery, and my dog Kyra had a great time since the place is so pet-friendly. We spent a very pleasant, relaxing week here as a family, which was just what I needed. It’s a lovely property, made even nicer by the warm family feel. The owners are very kind and helpful. Leaving always means taking a piece of a place with you, along with the memories and history you shared. I highly recommend a wonderful week of peace, kindness, and culture.

The food was delicious, and the staff were professional and friendly. It’s a wonderful place for peace and quiet, just right for resting and relaxing.

Our children, usually picky eaters, happily ate pasta, mozzarella, and the other tasty food Angela cooked whenever we asked. We stayed at Villa Lacellotti in April with our three kids, ages 4 to 11, and it felt like paradise for them. There’s a huge garden, a tennis court you can use for free, and a pool that’s closed in spring. In the evenings a fox always comes by, and in the morning you can have an idyllic breakfast in the sunshine while the kids play outside. The location is handy too, with Matera, Gravina in Puglia, and Altamura all within an hour’s drive. We’ll be back!

The staff were friendly and attentive to what we needed, and my room was clean with a comfortable bed. The property sits in a striking landscape that feels like a work of art, and the panoramic pool was crystal clear and in perfect condition, a lovely place to unwind. There’s no air conditioning, but the house stays quite cool inside. The tennis court is a bonus for anyone who enjoys sports, especially at sunset. Nearby, there are excellent trails for cycling or hiking.
