B&B La Gioia

Daniela made sure we had everything we needed and really looked after us. The service felt more like a luxury hotel than a simple B&B. The accommodation is right in the heart of Ischia, but tucked into a private, quiet courtyard. Rooms are modern, functional, and tastefully furnished. Breakfast can be served on the outdoor veranda if you ask.

Daniela was the best part of our stay. She isn't the owner, but welcomed us warmly from the first day and was kind, helpful, and accommodating. The B&B is centrally placed for walking to the port and bus stop. If you rent a scooter, keep in mind there's nowhere designated to park it in the alley. We stayed in August 2021. The new room was cleaned and tidied every day, but the owners hadn't maintained the air conditioning well. Its filters were completely dusty and airflow was blocked. Breakfast was a letdown, just one croissant per person, and we often ended up with cold showers because the hot water ran out quickly.

The price was really competitive, and the service was great. The room was spacious and very clean. It's centrally located, close to the port and the main street. I stayed here with my partner for a weekend visiting Ischia, and would love to come back.
