BB Nonna Angela

I’ve never met kinder owners in all my travels. The lady pays close attention to dietary needs, like lactose intolerance, and everything is spotless and tidy, both inside and around the room. The garden is beautifully cared for, full of succulent plants, some impressively large. We could enjoy the sea view and breeze while having breakfast outside. The owners even gave me cuttings from their plants, which I potted as soon as I got home. They also respect guests’ time and privacy in the morning. You can make breakfast yourself whenever you like, with fruit and milk kept in the mini fridge in your room, plus tea or coffee. The owner quietly leaves her wonderful homemade sweets at 8, one sealed container for each room, kept in the shade under the garden porch. Simply fantastic. We’ll never forget our stay at B&B NonnAngela!

I’ve been visiting Ischia for at least one weekend a year since I was 20, and even as a teenager I came with my grandfather, who went to Casamicciola Terme for mud baths and aerosols. This B&B gave me what I think was my best weekend there. It sits in the upper part of Ischia Porto, and the terrace has a heavenly view across to Procida and Bacoli, with Pozzuoli behind them. There’s an outdoor hot tub with a shower, loungers, and umbrellas, a pretty royal setup. The room is modern but elegant, and the minibar prices are very reasonable. The owner is charming, an Ischitan who lives in America and comes back each summer to run the B&B and serve guests a genuinely local breakfast. I stayed even through the earthquake on August 21st. I’ll be back soon!

This is a great place to get away from city noise. Rosanna made me feel at home right away and was ready to help with anything. Everything was spotless, and the fridge was stocked with food for all tastes. She welcomed me with an apple cake she’d made herself. Breakfast had the works: coffee, milk, herbal teas, chamomile, brioche, rusks, biscuits, and more. The wood stove made the atmosphere unforgettable. There’s digital TV and WiFi, so it’s close to perfect. The little jars in the photos are homemade preserves in oil, made by the owner too. I’ll definitely return, and highly recommend living this dream at bed and breakfast nonna Angela. Super!

The terrace view is spectacular, and Mr. Gianluca was always on hand to help with anything. Nonna Angela B&B was so welcoming and clean. I highly recommend it.
