Hotel Villa Hermosa

Villa Hermosa is a real belle epoque hotel, yellow and pretty, beside the harbour on a quiet side street. You don’t hear the harbour or crowds, yet the history is close by. I liked sitting in the courtyard under the palm for afternoon tea, with the evening within walking distance. Flowers are well loved along the quaint shaded passageway. It’s a serene, well-kept family hotel, and the people are very kind, knowledgeable about Ischia, its history and the environment, and genuinely concerned. Thank you for the hospitality and all your help. The beds are a little hard by modern standards, and some upkeep may be needed. It seems little has changed in recent decades, so keep that in mind when booking. Still, it has charm and spirit. Grazie mille.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. The location is nice, close to the centre, and the rooms were clean and big enough for two.

Nice rooms and service, in a central spot that’s very quiet. I’d recommend it.

We could walk almost everywhere from here. Via Roma is just steps away, and the port, beach, and bus stop are all close, so coming and going felt easy. Our two-night stay was comfortable too: the room was clean and had a TV, mini-fridge, and mosquito nets, and we slept well in the bed. Breakfast had plenty of both sweet and savory options, all made with really good products. Peppe and the staff were kind and attentive whenever we needed something. A lovely base for enjoying Ischia.
