Oriente Suites e Spa

We booked a superior room through Booking.com, where the hotel had an 8.5 rating, but room 502 at the very top of the building was more like an army training camp than the superior room advertised. To get there, you take the lift to the fourth floor, then go up a smoky corridor to what looks like an abandoned roof Terrace. There was nothing of any quality in the room. I thought the pictures said enough, and found it insulting that anyone would consider it acceptable. We spoke with Enrico the owner at reception to ask about changing rooms. He handled it immediately, and the replacement room was satisfactory. The management team’s service recovery was absolutely impeccable.

The spa was lovely, and the massages were great. We didn’t eat at the hotel, but local restaurants, bars, and the beach are right nearby. Had an amazing stay, and I’d recommend it. I’ll be back!

The room with a terrace was fabulous, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room included the spa and pool, which felt like such a treat. The heated pool was refreshing after time in the spa room. Wonderful stay, and we’ll definitely come again!

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and this is a cozy, inviting little hotel. Our room had a covered balcony, so we could sit outside and play cards even when it rained. There are warm and cool tubs on the roof, plus a pool and hot and warm spas downstairs. The lobby has books, sofas, and a grand piano, and I saw plenty of people chatting, playing board games, and socializing. There are more sofas on the front porch where you can gather over coffee or a drink. The bar serves light snacks and drinks. Breakfast is available, and dinner can be had if you reserve ahead. The dinner menu has lots of seafood. It’s a short walk to the ferry and to the no eatery/fort. Turn left at the front and the shopping and restaurant strip is only half a block away.
