The hot water ran short because the boiler is so small, so that keeps me from giving five stars. Still, it's a lovely place: there's a clean pool, a pretty garden with a barbecue and hammock, and a little playground for kids. The beach has dunes and is nice too. Raffaele was a fantastic host, always willing to help.

We were two adults and three children at Le Dune Residence for a week in June 2017. The beach was just 20 metres over the road, beyond big dunes, with flat sand and very warm water. The kids spent lots of time in the pool. Its shallow end is around 1.20 metres and the deep end about 2.00 metres; it closed for siesta from 1pm to 4pm, and was open from 9am to 1pm and again from 4pm until late. Even though we arrived at midnight, the owner greeted us warmly. Our apartment had a fridge, freezer, cooker, TV, shower, balcony, and air conditioning in both bedrooms. There was also a shared washing machine and a brick pizza oven. Each apartment had a parking spot, with entry through an electric gate using a key. You'll really need a car here. A shop for snacks, ice cream, or drinks is about 400 metres away; the nearest small supermarket is 4km away on Via Kennedy in Santa Maria del Focalla. Pozzallo is 8km away and Ispica 10km. Every morning at 9am a bread and cheese delivery man comes by, handy for breakfast. We were very happy with the apartment, pool, and how close the beach was.

We came at the end of April, when it was quiet at the Residence, and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were so nice and made us feel appreciated.
