The bathroom was the worst part. It's on a terrace built entirely from glass and aluminum, and when we switched on the already awful shower, the whole bathroom seemed to expand. Water ran into the room, so even taking a quick shower was difficult. I didn't dare wash my hair. We knew we'd booked a budget place for two nights and didn't expect much, but it was worse than expected. The location and building were passable, though there were some awful details, as the photos show.

Being only a few meters from the town and the lake made for a really enjoyable stay. The room was spacious, well kept, and had what I needed, including air conditioning, a large bathroom, and a coffee and tea machine. The staff were thoughtful and attentive through Booking.com and in person. I asked to check in well before the official time, and they had the room clean and ready by 10:30 am. The night was a bit expensive, though still cheaper than other places in Ispra, and the service made it feel worth the price. A very pleasant experience, highly recommended.

I was surprised when the staff said they couldn't move my one-night booking to October 7-8, since I had checked Booking.com beforehand and the property showed as available. I had followed the site's process on Friday, September 20th, 72 hours before my September 23rd-24th check-in. The next day, September 21st, I got a Booking message saying, "Unfortunately, I have no availability for the requested date." When I checked again, the site required a two-night minimum for October 7-8, even though a one-night stay could be booked on October 6-7 or 8-9. Only the one night I had requested was unavailable. It doesn't seem like a coincidence to me, and the staff's response came across as unhelpful, if not downright rude. My experience was unsatisfactory. I sent this report to Booking.com customer service around 1:00 PM on September 22nd and still haven't received help from Booking.

The owner kindly shared tips about the area and places to go with our big dog. The room was spotless and welcoming, though small. It's in a quiet spot just steps from the lakefront, but close enough to the road that light sleepers may want earplugs. Highly recommended!
