The pool has amazing views across to the mountains, and the place really is a gem in the hills south of Jesi. Sarah and Walter are such good hosts, always happy to help, and we fell for both them and the accommodation. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped, with private access to their own terraces for dining outside. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Breakfast is cooked when you order, with traditional Italian options or a full English. We’d love to come back sometime. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

La Maracla was one of the best parts of our two-week trip around Italy. We loved the time with Walter and Sara, who are warm, generous, and funny, and Sara is a wonderful cook. We joined them for dinner three of the four nights, after choosing from the menu she shared during our delicious breakfast. One day we wanted to see the nearby castle area, so Sara put together an itinerary for the towns we were hoping to visit. We especially liked her favorite places. Pinocchio's in Arcevia was a great meal. The house sits in the hilly farm country of Le Marche, with lovely rooms, an unheated pool, and a wood-fired hot tub. Now that we’re home in the States, we’ll always treasure our memories there.

The location is breathtaking, and Jesi is close by. My room looked stunning, and Walter and Sara were both sociable and accommodating. I’d definitely come back.
