Hotel Garni San Carlo

!!!Angry dog!!! This was our first truly horrible hotel stay in all the years we've travelled, since 2007. We travel a lot and have stayed in five-, four-, and three-star hotels, but we'd never encountered this attitude before. The management treated us and our kids awfully and very rudely. Jenny, the skinny blond lady who's always at reception and who I guess was the hotel boss, seemed mentally unhealthy to me. If you did something by mistake, she'd come over, stare and make faces, then complain in front of other guests. She shamed you like that every day and couldn't explain anything politely. She just shouted anxiously. She seemed to think people were dumb, or something, because she was rude and would stare and grimace at every question. It was disgusting even looking at her face. For that money, we could have had better treatment. If you're thinking of coming to this "hotel," please read the reviews twice and think it over.

I used to love this hotel. I'd stayed twice before and remembered great service and helpful staff, so I came back for a third visit. This time was a huge disappointment. The new staff seemed clueless about customer service and running a hotel, and kept lying while acting as if the guests were the ones who didn't understand. We booked four nights but left after the first. We were basically kicked out with a baby after complaining about the promised crib that wasn't there. The manager said she didn't have children, so she didn't care and it wasn't her problem. She does have a dog at reception, though, with its own bed. They'd sent booking confirmations and online check-in forms with specific information, but on arrival said it was wrong and that I was mistaken. When I showed them a printed copy of the booking, they said it was a mistake on their side but now my problem. They didn't care. Their attitude was outrageous. I'd tell everyone to avoid this "hotel". It used to be a great place, but the new management has ruined it completely.

A good choice for a stay in Lido di Jesolo. The rooms are pleasant and clean, breakfast is good, and there's a private section of beach. Free parking may be available not far away, and the staff are helpful.

I've visited Jesolo several times, and in my view this is one of the best places in its category. It's got a nice feel, clean rooms, a good breakfast, and kind staff. Prices are affordable for a spot in the heart of the city, and the beach is about as close as it could be.
