Hotel Gritti

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. We booked two rooms, and they were very expensive and incredibly small. The bathrooms were cramped too, and both rooms had unusually high water pressure. The shower stalls were so tiny that water splashed out and made a mess in the bathroom. On top of that, they charged us an extra €40 for our small child to stay in our room. I can’t recommend the hotel, especially if you’re visiting from outside the area, since even basic things like clean beach towels cost extra.

The staff are very nice, and the rooms under the roof are clean, though very old. Parking is a problem when it’s full, since you have to walk more than 800 m to get back to the hotel. That wasn’t mentioned in the booking description. This is an honest review, so please write everything as it is and don’t mislead other people.

The double room with a side sea view was so small that two very thin adults could barely fit, let alone luggage for two weeks. The breakfast was probably the worst I’ve seen in over 100 properties around the world. The quality was very poor and the selection extremely limited, so for two weeks we had to eat the same awful food over and over. Some of it was so old it was starting to spoil.

I was very frustrated and regretted staying here. At first they said parking was available inside, then tried to send me to their parking spaces far away, even though there were parking lots. They just choose who gets to park and where. The rooms are small and stinky. The next morning, I asked for a pass card to the beach, but they refused because I was checking out that same day, even though I hadn’t used the beach the day before. The worst part was how rude they were: raising their voices and not welcoming customers. Especially the receptionist TANIA, who was rude and unprofessional. I do NOT recommend it at all.
