The hotel's location was perfect, beside a shopping street and restaurants and bars. Our room was very nice, the bathroom was big enough, and the little balcony was handy for wet towels. Breakfast was fine, though we'd have liked more fruit. The pool was clean and modern, and it was great to have a bar there too. We'd hoped to spend a few more hours by the pool on our last day after checking out. Since our car was still there, we'd have had to pay €25. The receptionists seemed unhappy about the idea, which was a shame since we'd been guests for four days and there were plenty of empty parking spaces. Our small car could have stayed there without any problem. The receptionist didn't really seem to know the procedure and came across as dubious. The weather hadn't been very good on the previous days, so we wanted a few more hours of sun before heading home and hoped to avoid the expected motorway traffic jam. In the end, we went home because, honestly, we didn't want to pay extra. The drive took us a full seven hours instead of four. We would have expected a friendlier response.

I really enjoyed our stay. The views were nice, and it was close to the beach. I didn't like the pictures on the wall, though. One showed a young Black woman who wasn't dressed well, holding her daughter, who looked about 10-12 months old. The daughter's private parts were exposed. It's the hotel's choice of decoration. All in all, the holiday was great.

The birthday cake the reception arranged for my daughter was such a lovely surprise. They set a table for us on the veranda at breakfast, and the cake was delicious, easily the best we've had on our yearly birthday trips. The restaurant even packed up the leftovers for my son at home, who agreed it was the best he'd ever tasted. The reception team also sorted our taxis and answered questions about buses. We loved how friendly everyone was. Housekeeping kept the rooms spotless and were always pleasant, while the restaurant staff worked hard and were ready to help. The hotel itself is smaller than places we've stayed before, but it felt like staying with friends and the service seemed better than at some four-star hotels, even though Hotel Rosanna is rated three-star superior. It's clean and modern, well placed for both the beach and town centre, and the beach was lovely and tidy. We could always find a sunbed, whether by the pool or in the hotel's beach area, where each room gets two beds and an umbrella. The pool is reached over a little bridge and was a great place to cool down; at certain times there was a friendly, helpful lifeguard who also served at the pool bar. We ate breakfast and lunch there. Breakfast had plenty to choose from each morning, all fresh and tasty, and our lunches were freshly cooked too. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely come back. We still miss the people who made us feel so welcome.

The tiny room fridge was a joke. I could barely fit two bottles of water inside, and even that took some effort. We also asked for a child seat on the first day, but after ten minutes they brought a baby seat our daughter couldn't fit in. I suggested they could get an inexpensive one from Ikea for 15 euros, like the ones we've seen in hotels and restaurants over the years. The breakfast was the poorest we've had in Italy. We booked it for all three days, but there were no vegetables and no variety at all. It was the same each morning, so on day three we just had coffee and went elsewhere. For 15 euros, you can find much better options outside. We were repeatedly told we had to pay extra for our three-year-old, even though I had searched with two adults and one child. They also tried to charge us for her breakfast, which hadn't been booked. I explained that she was eating food we'd brought because she'd had stomach problems the week before and the doctor had recommended specific foods. It took a while to explain this to two or three people at reception. Our breakfasts were booked and paid for in advance, and dealing with people who seemed focused on adding charges was frustrating. The hotel itself was okay, nothing special. The staff were the part I disliked most; I've never encountered such unfriendly people at a hotel. This was one of our most disappointing stays in Italy, after perhaps eight or nine visits over the past few years. I can't recommend it.

We spent a week here in July and had a fantastic time. The beach is right outside, and the restaurant street is about 50 metres the other way. Staff were really friendly and flexible with our booking so they could meet our needs. The pool was lovely and the water was warm. Rooms were clean and functional, and the breakfast and rooms were about what I'd expect from a three-star hotel. There's a space for a fridge in the room, but no fridge, which was probably the only downside.
