Villa Vania

The apartment was poorly maintained and cost a lot for the week. The air conditioning wouldn’t cool below 28 degrees, and the place was dirty despite the €70 cleaning fee included in the initial deposit. I really wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were there at Villa Vania during the week of Ferragosto (August 15th). Despite all this, our group had a good time, though not thanks to the caretaker. The elderly owner didn’t introduce himself or welcome us when we arrived. Instead, he said, “I’ll cause an earthquake!” and “I’ll cut off the electricity if you make a mess.” We were already annoyed, so we took our bags in and headed straight to the beach, and didn’t see him again. On the fourth day, we had three friends over for dinner. The next day he complained about the noise, even though we were already out by 11 PM, and said nobody beyond those registered with the agency was allowed in.

It looks good from the outside, and the location is handy, close to the sea and populated areas. Inside, it’s not a great apartment, but it’s adequately equipped. The rooms are very old, and some parts aren’t well maintained.

We stayed at Villa Vania for the last two weeks of July. The owner was intrusive and rude, which made for a terrible stay. We strongly advise against it.
