I'm giving one star only because Google won't let me give zero. My girlfriend and I booked August 12-18, 2024, for €1,104, around €183 a night, and our vacation was ruined. After the first night we didn't feel comfortable and decided to leave, but when we asked for at least some of our money back, the owner refused and said, in a very authoritative tone that seemed meant for himself, "the matter is closed." That's why I call him a SCAM owner. We called the Carabinieri from Joppolo, where the hotel is, and they said this wasn't the first time this had happened and that this person was a repeat offender. I strongly advise people to avoid this squalid place and its equally disgusting staff. The owner should find another profession instead of profiting from these poor people. The pool was unusable because it was dirty, with dead flowers, plants, and insects everywhere. Tiles had been taken out and left loosely beside the pool. Our rooms still hadn't been cleaned by 1 p.m. Breakfast was extremely poor for a 4-star hotel, at most a cappuccino and croissant, and the owner defended it as "an Italian breakfast." There was only a jug of cereal on a dirty, ruined tablecloth. The staff were rude, and I'm a nice person. The young man at the front desk never knew anything, saying, "The owner takes care of everything."
