The host left me to deal with the loss of my booking and money on my own. After several WhatsApp exchanges, he sent a voice message saying, “If they don’t refund you, I’m sorry... You’ve lost your reservation.” I later spoke with other B&B owners, who said he should have handled the issue himself instead of asking me to cancel, and that the property still gets paid if the refund isn’t issued. It seemed to me that he pocketed my €282 without trying to sort anything out. I hope this helps others avoid the same trap. If you’re thinking about booking with “Vibo in Centro,” think twice. There may be risks, and honesty might not be their priority. Here’s what happened. On November 6, 2024, I booked a week at the B&B “Vibo in Centro” through Booking.com and paid €282 in advance. Soon after I confirmed, the owner called to say the room had already been assigned to someone else because of a mistake. He asked me to cancel and assured me I’d get a refund. I trusted him, canceled, and immediately booked another B&B. Booking.com then emailed to confirm the cancellation, saying the penalty was the full amount I’d paid. When I checked with the host, he told me not to worry and to report the issue to Booking.com. But their customer service confirmed I wouldn’t get a refund. I contacted the host again to explain, but the money never came back. The experience was terrible and unfortunately very expensive.

The nearby café served breakfast, with friendly staff and good products. Inside, the B&B has large, clean rooms and a comfortable bathroom, and it’s right in the center. My suggestion would be to add a vending machine or coffee pod machine. In winter, when you’re working in your room, you don’t feel like going out for a hot drink. Excellent stay overall.

We slept comfortably and in silence, and I felt right at home. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean, while the common areas were welcoming and well kept. There’s a sofa and TV area, a small library and garden, a large breakfast table with a good selection of quality products, and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s centrally located, with easy, free parking. The hospitality was excellent. Thank you! Highly recommended.

The rooms are large, comfortable, and welcoming, with everything you need, air conditioning, and very large windows. There’s a fridge guests can use and a shared lounge. The owner was very kind, and the cleaning lady was organized and lovely. The place is elegant and very, very clean. Congratulations, I’ll be back.

We arrived in the city center on Saturday afternoon and Mrs. Luciana greeted us with delicious hot coffee. She looked after us throughout our stay in Vibo Valentia. The B&B exceeded our expectations: it was clean, the breakfast was generous, and despite being downtown, it was in a quiet, peaceful area. The owner was kind and very helpful with all our questions, which made the stay extremely pleasant. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back. See you soon.
