The room we were moved to was still filthy, with stains on the sofa and walls, dead insects, and hair in the bed. It was around 30°C and unbearably hot, with no air conditioning. Opening the window brought in swarms of bugs, so any hope of a relaxing mountain stay was gone. The property also keeps animals in small, dirty cages, which was depressing to see. Getting the booking sorted was a struggle, with several calls, promises of confirmation emails that never came, and four attempts before we secured a room. On arrival, a restaurant waiter, rather than reception, handed us the keys. The first room smelled strongly of smoke, including the bed linen. When we complained, he brushed us off and told us to “take a picture.” Only after we pressed him did he acknowledge that a group of workers had stayed there and might have smoked. He eventually moved us to a room he called “better.” Checkout was flexible, but that hardly makes up for the rest. This place was a complete disaster. Book somewhere else.

We only stopped for lunch with our kid, and it turned out to be a great choice. The food was delicious, especially the tiramisu ✨. There’s loads for children to do, from the trampoline and scooters to the baby kitchen, and they can see budgies, iguanas, and a chameleon.

The garden is lovely for relaxing, and there are trampolines for the kids. We stayed overnight after driving through the Sellapas (SS242). The restaurant and rooms were decent. On the road side there’s triple glazing, while the mountain side has a balcony. They also had a third, normal sized bed available for the kids.

The staff were all very friendly, and the pizzas we had over two dinners were really tasty. We also enjoyed the sauna, though its benches felt unsteady and made a lot of noise whenever anyone moved. Our room was very clean when we stayed in April, the bathroom was spacious, and we had separate tub and shower combos in the same room. The price was good. At first the hotel's location seemed poor, but it turned out there are lovely hiking paths right from the hotel, with flowers, animals, and a lake to see. At least from our room, we also heard no traffic at night. A note for guests: if staff mention a salad buffet when you order pizza or something else, check first whether it's included. Don't assume it is, as the salads cost more than expected. And a note for the hotel: on April 23, 2022, maintenance work beside and directly above our room went on nonstop from 3pm to 6pm, with drills and hammering. It would have been good to know before booking. If guests have already booked, please make another arrangement for those hours or compensate them somehow. The noise made our stay less enjoyable.
