Vatican Style

The location was great, just a 2 min walk from St Peters Basilica, with loads of restaurants around the corner. It’s also a short walk from the station Ottaviana. You buzz through the building door and take the lift up to their floor. Check-in was quick and the staff were very nice. My room was spacious and clean, faced the street, and the windows opened partly. I was very happy with the hotel and would definitely go back.

The only real plus is being near Vatican City. We were surprised to find it was a residential place, not a hotel. The old lift only fits one person and one luggage. At check-in, the old Philippine man told me I couldn’t order so much breakfast food. The pillowcases looked dirty, though room service was very quick. The toast at breakfast was nice, and they roll it out on moving trays. One room was freezing while the other was super hot.🥵

The bath/jacuzzi was really relaxing, and we appreciated the toiletries, bath salts, and coffee. Our spacious room was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was very little street noise. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were friendly and efficient from the moment we arrived. They also gave us helpful tips about the area and transport. Vatican Style is very close to the Vatican, local restaurants, and shops. We were thoroughly impressed and it was a perfect base for exploring Rome.

We only stayed one night, but the location was incredible for beating the line to visit the Vatican. The room was clean, spacious, and smelled amazing. Great service too. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Rome.
