Aurora 5 Terre

There’s a lovely terrace outside, and the train station is only a quick walk away. I had a great one-night stay. The room was comfortable and modern, and a pleasant temperature, especially compared with the hot, stuffy rooms elsewhere on my trip. There’s no reception on site, so message the property ahead of time for entry instructions. I forgot, but they still helped me get in very promptly.

Mr. Manuel was very attentive throughout our stay. The apartment was super cute, and the location was spectacular.

The room was clean and tastefully furnished, better than we expected and nicer than many four-star hotels. Despite being close to the station, it was very quiet, with no train noise or sounds from neighboring rooms. The price was very fair. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, even though we bothered them hours before the rooms were ready. They gave us useful advice about where to eat and how to get around to visit different places.

The room was clean and the bathroom was nice, and the guesthouse is conveniently about a five-minute walk from the station. But the service was terrible. My friend and I were locked out of the building for half an hour around 2:30 AM. The keypad was broken, and the maid had taken the physical key, with nobody knowing where it was. A kind neighbor let us in after we rang several people. The host never answered, and the contact number didn’t work by phone or text until 10:00 AM. There was no on-site reception, and we never saw the host at arrival or departure. We were told to leave cash in the room for the maid to collect, but got no receipt. Even after taking our money, the host never apologized or offered a courtesy discount. Breakfast was another mystery because nothing was explained. I wouldn’t recommend this for a longer stay or for anyone wanting a beautiful view.
