Blu Sea Rooms

Best escape room in La Spezia! Our vacanze were packed with emotions, tension, excitement, adrenaline, and some wonderful new friendships. We expected to be disappointed, but it turned out to be more than sufficient. This one’s for you, Victor Hugo! 😉

I booked the room for my son through Expedia and paid them the room charge. I was told the hotel would charge my son a deposit and tax. It’s been a month, and I’ve spent 2.5 hours chasing the deposit so it can be refunded to the card. The hotel hasn’t responded to a single email, call, WhatsApp, or message through Expedia. I disputed the deposit with my bank, but the hotel told them it was the room payment. Now I have to prove to the bank that Expedia paid the hotel and that the hotel needs to refund the deposit charged to my son’s card. After all my years in the hotel business, I’ve never dealt with such poor follow-up or incompetence.

Check-in and check-out were smooth and self-service. The room was very close to the train station, which made a day trip to Cinque Terre easy. It was clean and had air conditioning and a welcome pack of toiletries. The windows kept out noise well, so even though it’s on a crowded square, it didn’t feel that way inside.

We had a fantastic, comfortable stay. Portoventre room had a queen and a twin bed, three sets of towels, soap, large mirrors, and plenty of light. It was clean and had everything we could want. The location is very convenient, close to the La Spezia metro stop for easy trips to Cinque Terre. 10/10.
