The tiny bathroom was the one real drawback for us, and it could be difficult to manage if you’re overweight. The rooms themselves are small too, though comfortable for the modest price. There’s secure, locked parking for €20 a day, which is a good deal. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good, served efficiently in a clean, nicely decorated room. The hotel is a block from the sea, with a bus stop within walking distance. You can walk to the main station, though taking the bus is recommended, at €1.50 each way. La Spezia is a lovely little city in Liguria, just south of Cinque Terre, and trains to its towns run frequently each day for about €8 each way. For the price, this is a great hotel.

When my husband became ill on our cruise, I ended up staying here, and the staff made me feel very welcome. They were incredibly kind and helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was easy to adjust. Breakfast had a good range of fresh food. It’s close to the seafront for boat trips and near all the amenities.

Breakfast was a nice way to start the day before heading out for Cinque Terre activities. My room was very quiet and the air conditioning worked great. You can walk to the train station with a backpack, and there’s also a bus stop nearby. Good value and close to everything.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and it’s a good location with quick bus access to the station, though walking there takes about 25 minutes. The staff were extremely nice and always gave us useful tips on where to go. Breakfast was OK, but very basic. Parking around the hotel is good: look for the free white spaces by the dock, otherwise parking at the hotel costs €18.
