The place is clean and well stocked, and it’s handy for walking around the city center. It stays quiet with the windows shut. We couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work, though: pasting in the password they gave us was impossible, and we kept getting an error. I’d still recommend it.

The owner was friendly and ready to share all the information we needed, and the price was affordable. The apartment is on a pedestrian street in the historic center, close to the port and about a 10-minute walk from the central train station. It’s very spacious, and the kitchen has an oven, refrigerator, electric grill, washing machine, and plenty of useful things, including a moka pot, coffee, and sugar. The bathroom is the one drawback: it’s rather cramped, with a half-bathtub and shower.

The owners were friendly, helpful, and quick to reply. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, and very close to the boats for the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, and Palmaria Island.

A really central spot, with the seafront, buses, boats, and train station all nearby.

The shower is hard to use. It really needs improvement.
