The person who let us in was very nice, and the phone service was just as pleasant, though neither solved our problems, including the internet. The apartment was clean, the furniture was fine, and it may need a fresh coat of paint. We didn't use the kitchen. Getting around on foot was manageable: the place is central in a pedestrian area, not easy to park near, even for a fee, and the train station isn't too far. But our two nights there were mostly sleepless. People partying in the streets made a lot of noise until 2 or 3 am, and street cleaning started around 5:30 am. Without double-glazed windows, we kept waking up to check whether they were really shut. Phone reception inside was very limited, only working by the windows, and the wifi didn't work at all during our stay. The apartment is on the second floor with no lift. That was fine for us, but it could be a problem with heavy luggage or after walking around Cinque Terre all day. There were extra charges compared with the prices shown online. Some appeared just before payment, like 30 euro for cleaning, and others weren't mentioned, such as an extra tourist tax. The apartment seems well ranked online for its relatively low price, but those added costs changed that impression. We won't return or recommend it to friends.
