My stay was great, and I’d definitely choose this place again if I return to La Spezia. The cleaning lady was exceptionally friendly and attentive, a real asset. The room was large, with a street-view balcony, desk, wardrobe, TV, powerful air conditioning, and a handy bathroom. Double glazing kept it very quiet. It was cleaned regularly, the fridge was topped up with water when needed, and fresh towels were available on request. There’s no breakfast on site, but they provide cards or tokens for breakfast at Vanity or La Genuina, both around the corner. You can get the traditional Italian pastry and coffee, and Vanity had lots of choices, including a continental breakfast for an extra charge. The entry instructions were clear and getting to the room was easy. The B&B is about a 30-minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the harbour for boat tours and excursions. There’s a bus stop across the road, with a few more around the corner.

The apartments were clean and had everything needed. There’s no parking, though the owner has just two spaces. Parking costs 1 euro per hour from 08 to 20, and is free overnight until 08 the next morning. For visiting Cinque Terre, the apartments are a 30-minute walk from the train station. The nearest bus drops you off, then it’s a 5 to 7 minute walk to the apartments.

There are bus stops nearby and the city centre is easy to reach. Inside, the place feels modern, clean and luxurious, so don't be put off by the building's exterior. The shower was lovely, and breakfast had pastries, biscuits, cereal, fruit and coffee. The service was better than we expected, with thoughtful extras like juice and water in the fridge for free.

The room was lovely, tidy and very clean, and check-in was easy. It was affordable too. But the windows don't block the noise, so traffic and people outside came through really loudly and I didn't get much sleep. There's no fridge.

At first glance it looks good, but the street traffic gets really loud in the evening. I also didn't find the bed or pillows very comfortable.
