La Casina Rossa

Dinner was the highlight: local ingredients, cooked with real skill and passion. The room was comfortable and welcoming too, and Giovanni was the kindest person I’ve ever met. He made it impossible not to feel like we were on vacation. I only wish we’d stayed longer than two nights. Thanks again, Giovanni. I hope I can come back one day.

Even a year later, we still think about that dinner at Giovanni’s. The food was excellent, made with traditional, authentic ingredients, and the owner’s family were wonderfully friendly and kind. Giovanni himself is a lovely man. Go to Casina Rossa!

The food was authentic and thoughtfully prepared, and the peaceful setting in the mountains around Lagonegro made the stay even better. La Casina Rossa is simple and welcoming. Giovanni’s hospitality is second to none; he made us feel like friends straight away. Thanks for everything, Giovanni, and please pass on our best wishes to your lovely parents.

One word for the stay: EXCELLENT. We’ve been to Casina Rossa twice already and would gladly return. I’ve traveled a lot, but I’ve never been welcomed quite like this. Giovanni was always available, with so much kindness and courtesy. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality.
