Things move slowly here and nobody seems in a rush. It’s a pleasant, friendly place with really nice and helpful staff. If you want peace and quiet and plan to stay for a while, I’d recommend it. It’s just right.

The staff were nice and the service was fine, but the room gave me a lot of anxiety. It was 402 on the 3 floor up another stairs, with all our luggage. At first we couldn’t work out where it was; when we finally found it, it was really dark and hard to see, with stairs going up and down. We didn’t know where the light switch was until my dad found it, but nobody was injured. The room itself was big and decent. The parking lot was so bad that other cars parked in front of us and we couldn’t get out. We stayed only one night, and I think this hotel is only good for a one-night stay.

We had a really pleasant stay and I’d happily come back to Sambiase. The balcony had a lovely view over town, and the food selection was extensive, with great coffee, cakes, pastries, gelatos, and especially the best croissants. Everyone on staff was polite and patient with our language barrier. The hotel is modern and well kept. My one suggestion is to replace the pillows, they were much too hard and uncomfortable.

The staff were kind, which was the one good part. Breakfast was just cakes and pastries, and the air conditioning was so noisy it made a good night's sleep difficult. The room booklet promised a free shuttle to the airport or station, but there wasn't one.

The room itself was fine, but there was no airport shuttle. I called twice to check and was assured there would be one. At check-in I was told it had been cancelled because of COVID, though the website information hadn't been updated. I had to pay €20 for a taxi to the airport as one person.
