We’ve been coming here every year for 13 years, since it’s a great base for hiking in every direction, and the area is also perfect for skiing. The location is beautiful, with mountain views all around, and there are goats and lots of family-friendly facilities for kids and adults. The rooms are tidy and very well cared for, and the staff and owners are incredibly friendly. My main complaint is the pool: it isn’t heated, so it’s very cold and unpleasant to swim in, even in summer.

We were looking for somewhere quiet to relax in the mountains, and this agriturismo was just right, away from the busy town centre. The owner was so welcoming and did everything she could to make our stay special. Our apartment had breathtaking views across the valley and mountains, and it was a lovely place to unwind. We can’t wait to come back to this peaceful spot when we’re in the area.

Apartment Theresa worked really well for our family and had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The balcony view was breathtaking, and the children had plenty to enjoy: a playground, playroom, foosball, ping-pong, a slide, swings, plus a shallow paddling pool and a 1.5-metre-deep pool. The main pool isn’t heated. There’s daily bread delivery, and you can also have a lovingly prepared breakfast in the farmhouse parlor. The host family was very nice, and we felt comfortable throughout. It’s just outside Lana, a few kilometres up the Gampen Pass, among apple orchards. We wouldn’t recommend setting off on a bike tour with children from there because the traffic on the Gampen Pass road is too dangerous. They gave us a bigger room because ours was being renovated, and it was spacious with everything needed for cooking. We were welcomed by the two cats, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The setting among vineyards and apple orchards was lovely, with views of the valley and surrounding mountains. One small thing, the TV could use an upgrade to a 42-inch monitor.
