Hotel Schwarzschmied

The staff at the front desk helped us get our wallet and passport back after I accidentally left them on the roof of our car at checkout. We only realized at our next stop and panicked, since losing the passport would have derailed our first trip to Italy. The team searched the hotel, reviewed surveillance footage to confirm what had happened, and helped us file a report with local police. They also translated and spoke for us since we don't know Italian. While we were at the station, someone from a nearby village called to say they'd found the wallet, and the hotel staff helped arrange its return. We got to continue the trip, and we're so grateful for their patience, professionalism, and warmth. The scenery is stunning too, and we'd recommend the place 10/10. We stayed on the night of December 12, and the facilities were fantastic. We had a perfect night there.

The spa is lovely, with a beautiful pool, and the yoga options are especially good. This is my favorite hotel. I love the food, the accommodations, and how friendly the service is. Everything feels just right.

We planned to try more restaurants, but the hotel's food won us over and we ate dinner there on four of our five nights. Breakfast was perfect too, no notes. We stayed five days with our three kids, and Hotel Schwarzschmied made it easy to find that balance of luxury, a relaxed feel, and being welcoming to children. There's a yurt for kids stocked with toys and books, plus great daily yoga and other classes. We loved it.

The staff made a lasting impression, especially Julien, Nadine, Anja, and Mathias, who became friends during our stay. Their service was truly exceptional, which says a lot given how many Marriott properties I've stayed at. We loved the property too, and this will be my go-to place in Europe when I want to unwind and recharge.
