We were sorry to leave. The location and scenery are beautiful, the hiking was great, and the food and staff made this one of our best stays. Breakfast and dinner were both amazing, and they even had fresh tea. The pool, hot tub and sauna were so peaceful and relaxing. We also loved the yoga and breath work classes. For more walking, you can take a chairlift higher up to some really great hikes. We’d love to come back.

The spa and mountain views were so serene, and we went to the cold and warm pools every day. There were lots of lounge chairs, plus happy hour came with one complimentary drink and snacks. The staff were amazing. The resort itself is an architectural dream, perched up top and reached only by cable car. You can get breakfast and dinner at the restaurant if you’d rather stay in. A path from the hotel makes for a 40 minute trek, and then there’s a chair lift to take you higher for another walk. Highly recommend it if you want somewhere peaceful and quiet to unwind and decompress. 10/10.

The staff were thoughtful and proactive, even helping me figure out what to do during an Italy train strike. I also loved the mountain water, which tastes delicious straight from the tap and was perfect for filling bottles. I didn’t try the restaurants or activities this time, though there seemed to be plenty available. Breakfast was a highlight. It was easy to find a sunny table, and the fruit, especially the crisp apples, and the breads were excellent. The rooms are well designed, and the grounds are beautifully kept. The place feels quiet and private, with cedar-rich wood interiors, warm radiant floors, alpine air through open windows, and a faint fireplace smell at night. It’s the kind of retreat you remember by its scent.

The cable car ride right to the entrance is on another level. Once I got off, Leonardo greeted us and was really helpful showing us around and handling our requests. I can’t believe I’d never heard of this place before. If you’re wondering whether to come, I’d call it a 10/10. Bring a swimsuit, trekking clothes and gym clothes. The pictures in the marriott app don’t do justice to this incredible sanctuary high on the mountain.
