We were on a motorcycle trip and booked this place to rest because it had a swimming pool and the photos looked nice. When we arrived, the pool was closed, the rooms weren’t clean, and workmen were all over the place using power tools. We were the only guests and didn’t feel welcome. After a long day of riding, relaxing there wasn’t possible. We explained the situation and asked to cancel without charge so we could find somewhere else. They said they understood, promised to cancel at no cost, and wished us a safe trip. But two days later I received an email saying we were marked as a no show and my card had been charged in full. Since then they’ve stopped communicating and ignored my emails and calls. We feel scammed. Avoid this hotel.

Tucked into beautiful woodland in the Oglistra's mountains, this is a wonderful spot. Everyone is kind and makes you feel the warmth of genuine Sardinian hospitality.

The rooms are spacious, with a pleasant balcony and lovely views, and we got a warm welcome and friendly service. It’s a pleasant old-fashioned hotel, though it has seen better days. The grounds and pool need attention, and it would’ve been nice to have a cold fridge and working air conditioning.

This old hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with no internet and a very poor, cheap breakfast served by one woman. The coffee was cold and the fridge in the room didn’t work. It’s overpriced and definitely not a four-star hotel.

A perfect stay! Everything was lovely: the property is well cared for, welcoming, and has a relaxing feel. The food was superb, with high-quality dishes and authentic flavors. The staff were the real highlight, professional, kind, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Stefania, who was fabulous and made our stay even more special with her thoughtful attention and smile. Villa Selene a Lanusei is somewhere I’d return to without hesitation.
