The meals were a highlight, with traditional dishes given a thoughtful modern touch. The staff also quickly made simpler versions for the children when the menu was too elaborate for them, and those were just as good and nicely presented. Daniela and the whole team were courteous, helpful, and attentive to our requests. We came as a family for a few snowy days and found Hotel Biancospino by chance. The location worked perfectly for the Bernina cable car, only three minutes away, and there’s a shuttle if you ask for it. Our room was spacious, clean, and well cared for, with a recently renovated bathroom. The property is clearly maintained, and some areas have been updated in a modern mountain style. Even with many extra diners because the restaurant takes reservations from non-guests, the New Year’s Eve dinner was excellent in quality and the service was on time. We couldn’t have picked a better place by chance, and we’ll definitely return.

The owner was warm and always available, and the rooms were clean and looked after. Breakfast had fresh, tasty local products. We had a great experience.

The staff and management were wonderfully attentive, and the hotel was both lovely and very clean. We ate really well, with delicious food made from fresh local ingredients. It sits high up on a dead-end road, which is easy enough by car but awkward in a larger vehicle like a motorhome. Still, I’d highly recommend staying here for a lovely visit. It’s in Italy's Valmenco Valley, near Caspoggio.

The setting is nice, but I came away with a negative impression. The building is old, the rooms felt unwelcoming, and the cleaning was poor: even after the room had been cleaned, I found hair and dust. The lift starts at the mezzanine, so with luggage you have to carry it up two flights of stairs first. My room faced the hotel bar, where people talked loudly late into the night. There was no air conditioning, so I couldn’t close the windows, and there was also a chicken coop behind the hotel. The rooster started crowing at 5 in the morning and kept going. The restaurant felt dated and ordinary, with plastic chairs and paper tablecloths and napkins. Breakfast was sparse, with discount desserts. Dinner had some good dishes, but they weren’t always prepared well. My radicchio risotto was overcooked. The vegetable buffet had variety, though if you arrived five minutes late the trays were empty. The ravioli with cream were very ordinary and, above all, raw, like fast food.
