We had 14 people altogether, and it worked perfectly, with a room for each couple. We picked the accessibility room for its larger bathroom and shower. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable, and the scenery is peaceful and beautiful. The location made a great base for exploring Tuscany, with Pisa, San Miniata, Florence, Lucca, Vinci, and Pistoia easy to reach. You can walk there from town, but I’d definitely recommend having a car to see more of the area.

There are lots of spots to sit and enjoy the Tuscan sun, and the villa is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards with an outdoor pool. Our room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfy. Google Maps sent us the wrong way, though that wasn’t the owner’s fault. Look for the Podere Galilea sign on a post, then follow the long gravel driveway.

Getting there can be a little confusing, since you leave the paved road for a dirt track, but once we arrived, we loved the place. The deck looks out over beautiful farmland, and there’s an in-ground pool with a patio for lounging. Everything was very clean and modern. Each morning they made us a tasty traditional Italian breakfast, and it was handy to be able to buy wine for 10 euros a bottle.

We’ve come back three times. Florio and his wife are fantastic, and Larciano is a lovely place to relax, with Florence easy to get to.
