The view of Asinara was enchanting, and the road felt safe, with plenty of connections. Several coves, including Cala Lupo and Cala Vacca, were about a five-minute walk away. There was a supermarket ten minutes off, near a souvenir shop, fishmonger, and hairdresser. Inside, the kitchen was new and had a large set of pans, pots, and cutlery. The linens were clean, there were two hair dryers in the bathroom, and we also had brooms and vacuum cleaners. An extra mat came in handy for walking to La Pelosa. We did have a serious ant problem. The host responded quickly and dealt with it using traps and sprays. From talking to the neighbors, I understood this affects the whole area. It could honestly have been avoided by putting traps down before we arrived, but I was glad the owner acted quickly and sorted it out. If I come back to Stintino, I'd happily stay in this apartment again.

The location has a lot going for it, which makes the condition of the apartment especially disappointing. We were four people there from the 25th to the 28th, and during our three nights in Sardinia the temperature was 38 degrees. Neither the bedroom air conditioning nor the living room fan worked, and the room with bunk beds had no air conditioning at all. I contacted the host several times, but he never came by or tried to fix anything. The barbecue was rusty and unusable, and the sofa slats were broken.

The morning view as you open the door is hard to fault. I get why linens cost extra, but it would've been nice to have toilet paper. For whoever stayed after me, I left an almost full roll.

The location and view were the bright spots. Inside, though, the apartment was dirty, there were ants even in the beds, the kitchen didn't have much equipment, and the sofa bed was uncomfortable.
