The village of Lari is picturesque, with plenty to see and do, and the surrounding scenery is stunning. Carlotta is lovely, very sweet, kind, accommodating, and quick to respond to what we needed. There’s free parking for multiple cars, which was great. The Villa could use a few more amenities for foreign customers, but that would be an easy fix. I recommend it for families or well-known groups of eight, and I’ll be back.

I really enjoyed my couple of nights here during the Collinarea Festival and would happily recommend the villa. It’s right near downtown, yet quiet, and makes it easy to reach interesting cities nearby: Florence is about an hour away by car, while the coast, Pisa, and Lucca are around forty minutes away. The welcome was excellent, and I felt looked after throughout, especially at breakfast. The terrace and garden look out over the local hills.

The house is beautiful and tastefully kept, and its spot right in the heart of the village is perfect. We spent a week there on a family holiday. The pool is on the small side, but our host really went out of his way to make things work for us. I recommend it without hesitation.

We came to spend a few days in this little village after I read an article in La Repubblica about the Pisan countryside. Villa Carlotta turned out to be a lucky find with spacious, well-equipped rooms, wonderful views, and a lovely terrace and garden. It’s peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle.
