Breakfast at the bar downstairs was fantastic and included. The room was large, with a spacious bathroom and a balcony, and the price was very affordable. From here, Lastra A Singa train station is an easy walk and has a direct connection to Florence. Singa train station is walkable too, so it works well if you'd rather stay outside Florence while visiting. The hotel explained everything clearly and was very helpful. Great place.

The owners could only be reached by phone, and getting to the rooms meant using stairs that weren't accessible for disabled guests. In the room, the bathroom was tiny, the twin beds had been pushed together to make a double, and cleanliness wasn't especially good. I even found the cleaners inside after putting up a "do not disturb" sign. Nothing exciting.

The shower looked like it had been patched with makeshift tape, and dirt had built up there. There were signs of water damage in the corners of the walls and overhead. The room smelled of mold and smoke, and the odor at the B&B entrance, like rotting wood, was unbearable. It felt distinctly unhealthy, like a room left to deteriorate. One to forget.

The owner spoke English, and the service was friendly. I stayed three days, though there was a huge patch of mold on the ceiling that you could smell in the air. It's 17 km from the city center but near the train station. Given that distance, the price seemed okay. It was an okay stay.

The room was roomy and had a nice balcony, and the price was good. Parking was free, at least in the evenings. The bathroom, though, felt a bit cramped and wasn't completely clean.
