B&B Palazzo Gorgoni

We stayed here last summer, and it was a nightmare because of the cockroaches. Before writing this, we tried to work something out with the owner, but unfortunately no solution was offered. The host was kind, but couldn't help us either.

We loved the new suite at Palazzo Gorgoni. It's beautiful and roomy, with high ceilings, lovely tile and ceramics, a large bathroom, and air conditioning that works well in summer. Marta is the nicest person you could meet, and we enjoyed chatting with her. She gives you personal attention and really wants you to have a good stay. She can help arrange local transport and suggest restaurants and things to do. The location is good too. Highly recommend.

The old building has a nice atmosphere and the bedroom is big, but the room smells distinctly damp and musty, and even the bed feels damp. There are no windows, so it's hard to air it out. The shower room is tiny, with some cracked tiles in the shower. We haven't had a chance to test how well it works yet.

We were left without hot water for two days, with no alternative offered. The hotel only suggested that we leave and get a refund for one night. That meant paying more for another hotel, losing precious time trying to get fair compensation, and searching for new accommodation. I would never recommend this hotel.
