Central Suites Lecce

The owner is a lovely, discreet and helpful woman, and I had a wonderful three-day stay. The property is right in the heart of old Lecce, only steps from Piazza Sant'Oronzo, the main square. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished and impeccably clean. Breakfast at the bar was excellent. I highly recommend it.

It’s a shame about some maintenance issues, because the central location is so convenient and the room was spacious. The bedside table was rusty, there was limescale on the shower head, and the ceiling paint was peeling. The toilet brush was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen, and I wouldn’t want anyone to use it. Finding parking with a car was difficult, too. The place felt a bit impersonal. To get the keys, we had to go to a nearby bar, and pay the tourist tax somewhere else. Breakfast wasn’t included, but that was fine with so many good bars and pastry shops nearby. I’d recommend the property if those issues were fixed.

We loved the typical Lecce breakfast on the panoramic terrace. The charming, knowledgeable owner looked after us so well and also gave us guidance on the city and nearby natural sights. The interiors were elegant, refined and clean, and from the central location we could walk to the best restaurants and bars as well as the main historical sites. We’ll definitely return.

The host was very kind and helpful, and we found the rooms and beds comfortable. It’s a great base for visiting Lecce. Breakfast wasn’t included, as we knew when booking, and that wasn’t a problem since there was plenty of choice when we arrived.
