The house itself is wonderful, dating from 1400 and restructured in 1850, with lots of family memorabilia and a very Italian feel. The owner is a gentle, lovely lady, but she seems to need help coordinating and managing the place. I found messaging preferable when communicating with her. The location is incredible, though the B&B didn't live up to expectations or the photos, and felt overpriced. The bathrooms were dirty, and the balcony wasn't private as advertised. It also needed tidying and looked as though it hadn't been used in a while. Breakfast was okay, but the food quality wasn't the best. I wouldn't stay again at this price, though I could see the value if they lowered it. Parking costs 10 quid a day. The courtyard is tiny, so a large car may not fit. We also didn't know the ZTL kicks in at 1pm, so leave with your car before then. Access is by stairs only, which is important to know if you have a disability.

We had dinner there as a group from Turkey and spent a lovely evening chatting and reminiscing with our landlady, Isabella, over songs and memories. The building is right in the heart of Lecce, but the evening was quiet. We'd love to come back and stay in one of her air b&b rooms. Thank you so much, İsabella, for your hospitality and that unforgettable smile.

The palace and its setting were fascinating, and it's perfectly placed for visiting the city centre. Ioannis and Isabel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb, with fresh orange juice, eggs, pasticciotto, yogurt, and jam.

I came back for a second stay at Palazzo Bernadini and was glad to be there again. The hosts are a delight to talk with, very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms have an eclectic charm. During my three days in Lecce on a bicycle trip around Puglia, they gave me a safe place to store my bike. From booking through checkout, everything felt personal and friendly. I highly recommend staying here in Lecce.

A beautifully furnished boutique palazzo B&B, in a fantastic location. It suits a relaxed stay in Lecce and fits the town's baroque history perfectly.
