The owner was very kind and helpful, and gave us a wonderful welcome. The property is excellent, centrally located, and well-served. We had a great experience and would definitely consider this B&B again if we return to Lecce.

A dreadful, cesspool-like place. It was dirty, with none of the essential amenities. Breakfast was a coffee or cappuccino with the usual croissant and/or other typical pastries, supposedly containing over 1 million grams of fat. On top of the €80, I was asked for a €5.00 tourist tax without even being asked for registration documents. Make of that what you will.

The breakfast could have had a little more to choose from. Still, our room for three was roomy and spotless, and the owner was so welcoming. The center is just a seven-minute walk away, which helped make our Salento trip wonderful. We loved staying at "Il tacco dello Stivale."

The bed was the one weak point, since its springs had sagged and it wasn't comfortable. Otherwise, the room felt new, spacious, and comfortable. Piazza Mazzini is just steps away, and the historic center is about a 10-minute walk. For parking, the blue spaces below the building cost €1.30 an hour and are available until 9:00 PM. There are also white spaces a few blocks away. Breakfast downstairs was good, though it was just one coffee and one small croissant.
