Palazzo Martirano

Terrible host. I'm not rating the property in Lecce because we never got to stay there due to the host. My complaint is about the host's poor treatment and disorganization, not the quality of the properties. He also manages PALAZZO BELVEDERE in Gallipoli, where, for the second time, we couldn't stay as booked because reservations were badly managed. What happened in Gallipoli was outrageous. We arrived at the entrance and rang the intercom, but nobody answered. We called him, and he said our booked room had been overbooked and asked us to wait because he was in Lecce. Nearly two hours later, we saw him coming toward us. He seemed almost astonished to find us waiting by that door, then said our accommodation was somewhere else entirely. We followed him to the new place with our suitcases, and he didn't help us carry them. Even that small gesture would have been appreciated. On the way, he kept trying to make it right by offering discounted club nights or an extra night's stay at a discount. I explained more than once that our trip was arranged in stages and we already had other bookings, but he didn't seem to understand. He then offered to refund at least a small amount. I sent him my IBAN two days ago, and I'm still waiting. Terrible host.
