The hotel was peaceful at night, the beds were comfortable, and our modern two-bed room on the top floor had a nice mountain view. The renovated building was clean and well kept. The receptionist was kind, gave us the room cards, showed us around, and helped arrange a rental car. The location was excellent for the city center, Lake Como, the station, restaurants, and shops. We walked there from the train station in just a few minutes. There was a free water dispenser in the kitchen, which we used often. The room had only one chair, and it was uncomfortable, so an armchair would have been welcome. There was no kettle for tea or coffee either. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had. There was no ham, eggs, fruit, or vegetables, just one kind of sandwich bread and the cheapest cheese. Nothing had been freshly prepared, and there was nothing I could eat. The waitress didn’t speak English and came across as unhelpful and unwelcoming. I’d strongly suggest getting breakfast somewhere else. Aside from that, I’d recommend staying at this hotel.

The room was clean and pleasant, with a view of the mountain from the window. The beds were comfortable and made for a good sleep after a long day walking. The owner came to let us in and explain how the keys worked. I chose the hotel because it’s close to the lake; from the train station, the walk took us around 10-15 minutes and was nice through town.

From 15th to 21st September, I stayed at this SoloSonno hotel. The staff and owner were very kind, and my room was spotless. Breakfast was very good as well. It’s conveniently located for both the university and the city centre. I’d recommend staying here, and I’ll choose it again if I return to the Polimi Uni Lecco campus for collaborative research. The location and amenities were fantastic, and the service was great. The people themselves were also wonderful, always ready to help and share information.
