The staff were friendly, the service was good, and they explained the menu carefully, including which dishes to watch for with allergies. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, especially the fish. The food and wine were excellent value, and dessert was very nice too. We'd return and recommend it. P.S. A zanzorro-free evening.
We sat on the covered patio, enjoying a nice breeze, good wine, and great service. The Saturday lunch was delicious and reasonably priced. They focus on fresh local fish, and the antipasto della vecchia scuola, a selection of different fish, was delicious.
From outside, it doesn't look like much, so don't let that put you off. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced, with portions larger than you'd expect. There's also a decent wine selection. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and service was quick.
The food was good and the service friendly, but the mosquitoes made this the worst dining experience I've ever had. There were six of us for dinner, and we asked whether it would be okay to sit outside with the mosquitoes. We were told that at 8:30 pm it should be fine. Five minutes later, we were getting bitten. It got so bad we couldn't stand it and asked to move inside, but the windows were open, so it didn't help. A couple of minutes later the other people dining outside also went in, and I had to leave the table and go back to the car. My friends and I each ended up with about 15 bites on each leg. If mosquitoes are a concern for you, avoid this place at all costs. They really need to sort this out.
The grilled lake fish selection and artichoke salad were standouts. Delicious local food and wine.
