Casa del Sole

Cettina was such a sweet host. She met us at the property even though our flight got in late, and made sure we had a memorable stay. We’d love to return soon. The location was ideal, right along Letoyanni's long beach and promenade, with Taormina just a 5 minute drive away. There was plenty of free parking right near the apartment, and the area had excellent restaurants as well as delicious bakeries and pastry shops. From both the bedroom and living room, we had lovely beach views, and watching the sunrise from the balcony was incredible.

The balcony was lovely, with a sea view, and the apartment had everything we needed. The location was ideal for getting around on foot, and bus stops were just around the corner. The cleanliness was the problem. On our first day, we had to clean the kitchen and bathroom. About your message: your reply was absolutely outrageous. The dirt in the kitchen corners and on the walls was already there, and so was the chewing gum you mentioned. I’m not cleaning up someone else’s chewing gum. Instead of apologizing, you accused us, which is outrageous. I cleaned the floor and bathroom on the last day. A small tip, replace the broken toilet brush!

We moved into the holiday apartment right after the handover, but it was very dirty. There was black hair all over the bathroom, which we had to clean thoroughly before using it. The kitchen tiles had cooking splashes on them, and the living room floor was so dirty we had to clean that too. Then the landlady responded so rudely. Unbelievable.

We visited at the end of September, and even with the unsettled weather, we felt right at home. Taormina and Isola Bella were easy to reach by public transport, and buses also went to other places. There’s a beautiful sea just a few metres away, with bars, restaurants and a market all within walking distance. Bus and train connections are nearby too. The owner was wonderful. What can I say, everything was beautiful.
