The meals were the highlight: creative dishes, not the standard fare we’d mostly been eating in Italy. We all agreed dinner was one of our best meals there, and the house wine was great at just 6 euros a bottle. Breakfast near our rooms was good too. We met friends coming from Milan at Montagna Verde, choosing it as a midpoint, and couldn’t have been happier. The mountain setting is breathtaking. Barbara greeted us with coffee, wine, beer and more, and we relaxed before going to our comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Both couples stayed in the same house, which had a shared living room and a lovely terrace overlooking the mountains. We also visited the interesting, well-done museums and the chestnut drying hut, and had time for a lovely hike in the woods. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer. We’ll definitely be back. It was a real pleasure to visit. Grazie mille.

We were here for my father’s wedding this week, and I was so impressed. The food was incredible, breakfast was beautiful, and the surroundings were lovely, with friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. It’s peaceful and relaxing in a beautiful spot in the Tuscan mountains. I’ll definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. They had a new lasagna on the menu this time, and it was fantastic. This is one of our favorite restaurants when we’re in Tuscany.

The view, atmosphere, and service make this the best restaurant I’ve been to. The food is in my top three ever, and I live in CA, where we have really good food. Get the egg dish as a starter or the charcuterie board. The raviolis were SO good.

We went to the restaurant for a friend’s birthday and had an amazing time. The food was fantastic, and we can’t recommend it enough. There was a lot of food, but we shared everything family style, so I only managed a few pictures of the nearly empty plates.
